I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
